OMSA clarifies that bus involved in accident in front of Immigration does not belong to the institution

Santo Domingo.– The Metropolitan Bus Services Operator (WHOA) reported that the bus involved in a traffic accident that occurred yesterday in front of the General Directorate of Migration, does not belong to the public institution.

The transportation entity indicated that they currently do not operate service routes on that road and stressed that confusion has been generated about the ownership of the vehicle involved.

The accident occurred during the first phase of Operation Consciousness for Life, Christmas 2025-2026, coordinated by the Emergency Operations Center (EOC).

In the incident, a motorcyclist identified only as “Cool” it turned out seriously injured.

The OMSA reiterated its commitment to transparency and truthfulness of information, and clarified that it will collaborate with the authorities to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, although the bus is not part of its fleet or its current operations in the area.
