Santo Domingo.- The doctor was sworn in this Friday Joselin Valdez Offrer like new director of Dr. Darío Contreras University Teaching Hospital replacing Dr. César Roque, who held the position for five years.
The promotion was favored by the director of the Ozama Regional Health Service, doctor Edisson Feliz.
During the event, the doctor maintained that he will continue with the training of all health personnel so that users who come looking for assistance feel pleased with the good deal.
“My goal is that everyone who comes to any service at this center is given the timely response and that patients know that they do not they beg for servicesbut it is a right that assists them. What gives me the most pleasure is being able to help someone who needs it, and we are going to do it from this position,” said the doctor.
The orthopedist highlighted that the health center receives a considerable flow of patients per dayespecially in the area of emergencieswhere they attend between 200 to 250 users. While surgery operates between 35 and 40 people and between 30 and 40 patients are admitted.
20 years of experience in the health sector
Valdez Offrer it’s a orthopedic surgeon graduated from the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), with 20 years of management experience of public sector health services, knowledge that will contribute to strengthening care in this trauma hospital.
Prior to his appointment, the doctor served as deputy operational director of the Darío Contreras Hospital, an establishment where he has offered services since 2009, holding functions such as head of Medical Residence, manager of Orthopedics and deputy medical director.
