Many Venezuelan families usually travel during the Christmas season, whether within the national territory or outside the country, the comprehensive protection and rights of the children of the house are guaranteed by the Autonomous Institute National Council of Rights of Children and Adolescents (IDENNA), which guides the Venezuelan population with the requirements that must be taken into account to facilitate their transfer.
Idenna recommends that if the child and/or adolescents travel with both parents, no additional authorization is required; however, if they travel in the company of third parties or make the trip alone, a series of steps must be followed that varies whether it is inside or outside the nation.
Travel within the country
For trips within the country, a permit must be obtained through the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents, or the Public Notary. To do this, the original and copy of the birth certificate of the child or adolescent must be presented. If you are over 9 years old, you must also present a copy of your identity card.
Likewise, a copy of the identity card of the father or mother who exercises parental authority must be presented; of the guardian or legal representative and a copy of public service, proof of residence or RIF that certifies the municipality in which the procedure is carried out as the place of residence. Additionally, in cases of guardianship or legal representation, the authorizer must present a certified copy of the court decision declaring the Family Placement, guardianship.
Trips outside the country
Children and adolescents may travel abroad in the company of both parents, without requiring additional authorization. However, if you are traveling alone or with a third party, you must go to the Council for the Protection of Children and Adolescents or to the Notary Public. If you are traveling accompanied by one of your parents and the other parent called upon to give authorization is absent, you must go to the Court for the Protection of Children and Adolescents.
In the aforementioned instances, the following requirements must be submitted:
to. Original and copy of the birth certificate of the child or adolescent who will make the trip.
b. If you are over 9 years old, you must present a copy of the Identity Card of the child or adolescent.
c. Copy of the child’s or adolescent’s current passport.
d. Copy of the Identity Card of the authorizing father and mother.
Parental Power or Unilateral Exercise of Parental Power
to. In cases of deprivation of Parental Power or Unilateral Exercise of Parental Power, you must present a certified copy of the court ruling declaring it to be valid for a period that does not exceed a period of three months.
b. In Guardianship cases, you must present a certified copy of the court decision.
c. In those cases of a deceased parent, you must present a certified copy of the death certificate.
Travel accompanied by a third party
to. In those cases where the boy, girl or adolescent travels accompanied by a third party, they must provide a copy of the Identity Card and current passport of the companion.
b. Passport size photo of the boy, girl or adolescent and the companion.
c. Simple copy of the air, land or sea tickets, with the complete itinerary, indicating destination, dates of departure and return to the country.
d. Simple copy of public service receipt, or proof of residence or RIF in which you certify that you reside in the municipality where you are carrying out the procedure.
