This Release day coincides with the Christmas message disseminated by unions such as the National College of Journalists, who under the motto “Reporting is not a crime,” reminded colleagues and press workers that They still spend these dates deprived of their freedom.
Organizations such as the Venezuelan Prison Observatory and Foro Penal have documented similar releases throughout 2025 in centers such as Tocorón and other prison facilities in the country. However, they warn that complaints persist about precarious prison conditions and new arrests linked to the political context after the 2024 elections.
