The criminal organization led by the Mexican PRD member Jacobo Reyes León and Raúl Rocha Cantú, businessman and co-owner of Miss Universe, used the profits obtained from the smuggling of hydrocarbons from Guatemala and the United States, as well as the theft and sale of fuel from Pemex pipelines for the acquisition, trafficking and sale of firearms through operations that were even carried out over the Internet.
The above is stated in the arrest warrant issued against the Monterrey businessman, who is considered a fugitive from justice and who was detected in a luxurious restaurant in Paris, France.
The court order was granted on November 15 at the request of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), after an investigation of almost a year and obtaining evidence of the illicit activities that allegedly involve the businessman, for which he requested to become a cooperating witness, a situation that has already been canceled for not providing more evidence to prosecute his accomplices.
The investigation mentions that the organization has a member dedicated to selling “heavy caliber weapons in Mexico City,” which “enter the country through the Guatemalan border.”
