The Board of Directors of the National Superintendency of University Higher Education appointed this Tuesday Dr. Vicente Paul Espinoza Santillán as the new superintendent. According to Sunedu, the appointment was made in strict compliance with the University Law and its amendments, with the purpose of ensuring the continuity of institutional management.
According to the entity, the election guarantees the normal development of the functions that correspond to Sunedu within the university system. Likewise, he indicated that this designation reinforces the institutional leadership aimed at improving the university higher education service in the country.
Likewise, Sunedu indicated that the process was carried out within its powers and in strict compliance with current regulations, and also specified that the decision was adopted by the highest-ranking body of the institution.
Sunedu reported that the new superintendent assumes the highest executive authority of the entity and that, in addition, Vicente Paul Espinoza Santillán will preside over the Board of Directors, the body in charge of the strategic direction of the institution.
According to official information, the Board of Directors is the body responsible for making decisions aimed at strengthening the university higher education service, as well as defining the main lines of action of the institution.
In addition, Sunedu highlighted that the proper functioning of the Board of Directors is essential for the fulfillment of its functions and, along these lines, reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening this decision-making space within the current legal framework.
Regarding the new superintendent, Sunedu reported that Vicente Paul Espinoza Santillán has a doctorate in Law, a master’s degree in Governance and Organizational Development, and a lawyer from the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University.
