Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), decided to authorize, this Wednesday (24), the visit of the children of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) during the period in which he is admitted to the DF Star Hospital, in Brasília, for inguinal hernia surgery.
The surgical procedure is scheduled to take place this Thursday (25). In the decision, the minister authorized the visit of former Rio de Janeiro councilor Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), Balneário Camboriú councilor Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL), and the former president’s youngest daughter, Laura Bolsonaro.
Moraes stressed that family members must respect the hospital’s rules regarding visiting hours.
Another observation from the minister is that visitors should not take computers, cell phones or any other electronic devices to Bolsonaro’s room.
Other visits must be authorized by the Federal Supreme Court, as explained in the document.
Conviction
Bolsonaro is serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in prison after conviction for the coup plot and was authorized to undergo the procedure by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
The former president was taken to the hospital this Wednesday by the Federal Police for pre-operative examinations. He was admitted at around 9:30 in the morning, accompanied by the former first lady, Michelle Bolsonaro.
Throughout hospitalization, surveillance will be 24 hours a day, with two agents stationed at the room door, in addition to other teams inside and outside the hospital, as determined by the STF minister.
