The National Election Jury (JNE) closed the deadline for the registration of lists for the 2026 general elections and formally began the stage of reviewing files, presenting objections and eventual appeals, in accordance with the current electoral schedule. According to the information published on the official platform of the JNE, 35 political organizations managed to register their presidential lists within the established deadline.
However, The Primero La Gente party does not appear registered at the close of the processwhich would indicate that it will not continue in the next phase of the electoral process, unless there is an update linked to resources presented within the legal margins.

The registration of lists constitutes one of the most relevant stages of the electoral process, since it allows verification of compliance with the formal requirements by political organizations and their candidates, which also includes the presentation of resumes, sworn statements and the complete formation of the presidential formulas and parliamentary lists.
During a press conference, the president of the JNE, Roberto Burneoreported that until the closing of the process, 69,963 resumes and 432 candidate lists. So far, the vast majority have managed to present 100% of their formulas. About three have physically presented the lists and this information will be updated when the scanning is completed,” he said.
In this context, the head of the JNE specified that the information recorded in the system may still undergo updates, especially in cases in which the documentation was presented in person and must be scanned to be incorporated into the digital platform.
