Ross Duffer, co-creator of Stranger Thingsofficially revealed the runtimes of the last four episodes of the fifth and final season, putting an end to months of speculation on social media about feature-length chapters concluding the story.
Following the release of the first four episodes of the final season on November 26, the series will return with a new block of episodes on Christmas Day, while the finale will premiere on New Year’s Eve.
According to a post shared by Duffer on his Instagram account, episodes five, six, and seven will each run for about an hour, while the finale will be the longest of the entire season.
Episode five, titled “Shock Jock,” will run for one hour and eight minutes. It will be followed by “Escape from Camazotz,” the sixth episode, which runs for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The seventh episode, “The Bridge,” returns to a one-hour, six-minute runtime.
