Santo Domingo.- Dominicans celebrate this Wednesday, December 24, on Christmas Day, with a forecast of moderate showers in several provinces.

According to the report from the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet)a prefrontal trough, associated with a cold front, will maintain high humidity content and cause downpours in northern, eastern and southern provinces.

For the northern Dominican zone there are rain forecast about Monsignor Nouel, La Vega, Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez, Duarte, Santiago de los Caballeros, Monte Cristi, Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, María Trinidad Sánchez and Samaná.

Meanwhile, in the east moderate rain showers expected Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia, Monte Plata, La Romana and San Pedro de Macorís.
