“The Government of the United States has a double standard with what it carries out in the Caribbean, it intends to impose theft, the looting of the wealth of the people of the continent,” said political analyst Fernando Rivero.
In that sense, he indicated that the only ones who have been systematically robbed in terms of energy have been the Venezuelan people. At the same time, he added that both the captures of the Venezuelan oil tankers and the kidnapping of the crews in international waters of the Caribbean region constitute a violation of international law and the UN charter.
Likewise, he stated that based on the National Security Strategy of the United States, Venezuela and the region face a series of challenges related to a neocolonial policy, in accordance with the provisions of that official document, approved this year.
Likewise, he stressed in the Al Aire program, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), that it is “the people who are called to combat these abuses and this imposition of a recipe book that will ultimately translate into political submission and economic exploitation.”
