The Government of Nicaragua ratified on Monday its solidarity with the people of Venezuela and the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in the face of aggression and destabilizing attempts promoted by the United States.
In a letter sent to the head of state, signed by co-presidents Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, they highlight the tireless struggle of Venezuelans “in the face of the destabilizing attempts of imperialism and its lackeys.”
«We share the condemnation of these acts of assaults“, to the threat or use of force against territorial integrity, piracy, looting and theft of Venezuelan natural resources, extrajudicial executions, illegal, even under the laws of the United States,” the text states.
Managua demanded the immediate cessation of all these attacks, describing them as violating the United Nations Charter and international law.
Furthermore, he assured that, despite the “extraordinarily difficult times” that we are experiencing, “Venezuela wins and will win, our people win and will win,” because they love peace.
“Today, as always, (…) we maintain intact our support and support for the right of our people to live in sovereignty, independence, identity, dignity and well-being, defending with courage, firmness and honor the life, peace and prosperity of the peoples of Our Latin America and the Caribbean,” the letter concludes.
Nicaragua’s support is added to that expressed by nations such as China, Iran, Cuba and Russiain the midst of the policy of aggression maintained by the United States, which since last August has maintained an extensive naval and air deployment in the Caribbean, under the initial pretext of combating drug trafficking. However, the official narrative changed and focuses on the control and looting of Venezuelan energy resources.
