In this context, last Monday, December 22, the JEE observed the list presented by the party’s legal representative, Aldo Borrero Rojas. According to the electoral body, Avanza País did not submit to the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) the written resignations of Butters and Paredes, a necessary requirement to effect the change of candidates in the presidential formula.
“In that sense, in the consideration of this College and for a better resolution, it orders the political organization to proceed to correct the omission incurred,” the document reads.
On the other hand, the JEE also observed the candidacy of José Williams. Resolution No. 08936-2025-JEE/LIC1/JNE states that Williams omitted to record the position for which he is applying in his sworn declaration of consent to participate in the General Elections 2026.

Avanza País has two days to correct errors
After the observations made, the JEE It granted Avanza País two calendar days after being notified to correct the errors detected in accordance with the provisions of article 31 of its regulations.
If the party does not regularize its situation, it is “under warning to declare the list or the candidate inadmissible, as appropriate.” That is, it could be left out of the electoral elections.
