Five injured by gas cylinder explosion in La Vega

The General Commander of the Caracas Fire Department, Pablo Antonio Palacios, reported that the explosion collapsed the house

This Monday early in the morning a gas cylinder deflagration occurred in the Las Casitas sector of the La Vega parish, in Caracas, leaving five people injured, as reported by the General Commander of the Capital District Fire Department, Pablo Antonio Palacios.

Through his account on the social network Instagram he indicated that two of the injured were taken to a health center by neighbors before the arrival of the firefighters. The other three people had minor burns and abrasions, receiving attention from firefighters, who proceeded to provide them with proper pre-hospital care for their wounds, and then they were transferred to the Dr. Miguel Pérez Carreño hospital.

According to the announcement issued by Palacios, the 10-kilogram cylinder exploded, also causing the collapse of the house.

«Likewise, preventive measures were dictated in the case; “It was necessary to activate the Special Risks Inspector and the Investigator on Duty to evaluate the home and the incident,” he noted.
