The Río Santiago Shipyard will launch a vessel

The launching of the Navy Cadet Training Boat “City of Berisso” will take place this Wednesday

The Río Santiago Shipyard (ARS) will carry out this Wednesday the launching of the Training Boat for Navy Cadets (LICA) “Ciudad de Berisso”during a ceremony that will take place at the naval plant located in Ensenada.

The actwhich will take place this morning, will be headed by the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof; the Minister of Defense of the Nation, Jorge Taiana; the Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation of the province of Buenos Aires, august coast; the Chief of the Army General Staff, Julius Horace Guard and Peter WasiejkoPresident of the Río Santiago Shipyard.

In a company statement, it was specified that the construction works of this vessel and the LICA “Ciudad de Ensenada” that was sent to the water last October, were paralyzed during the government of Mauricio Macri and reactivated from the management of Kicillof in the province of Buenos Aires, from the authorities of the Ministry of Defense and from the ARS authorities as of December 2019.

Also present at the event will be the mayors of Berisso and EnsenadaFabián Cagliardi and Mario Secco respectively, national and provincial officials, members of the Navy and Naval Prefecture, ARS workers, among others.
