The Governor of the state of Falcón, Víctor Clark, attended the Legislative Council to present the management report for the year 2021, where he highlighted that the state now has a platform to promote public services.
In the special session held in the Alí Primera de Coro hemicycle, Clark highlighted the conditions in public services compared to 2017 when he assumed the reins of the state, since the protests have already decreased to zero.
«The first achievement is that on November 21 the people approved our management, so we commit ourselves even more in this second period, today we have another reality and we can see more clearly the future of Falcón aimed at progress and development not only of the region, but of the country,” he asserted.
In the electrical field, he maintained that last year they worked on the maintenance of turbine 1 and 3 of the Josefa Camejo thermoelectric plant to generate about 300 megawatts and this 2022 they do the same in turbine 2 adjusted to the gas modality to reach almost 100 percent of the local electricity demand, which will allow it to have a backup generation in case of failures of the National Electric System.
Likewise, the construction of the Chichiriviche substation began to generate 36 megawatts that will be distributed in the municipalities of the eastern coast, San Francisco, Acosta, Monseñor Iturriza and Silva, an action that will allow an expansion of tourist activity in the area. This work will be delivered this year.
“We have carried out maintenance on transmission lines, stations and substations to stabilize transmission, in addition to having activated the wind farm with at least 60 wind towers that today contribute 30 megawatts,” he specified.
On the subject of water, he indicated that with the activation of the El Falconiano aqueduct to Paraguaná, they currently supply between 600 and 800 liters per second to the Ali Primera pumping station compared to the 80 liters per second that were supplied.
He added that with the aggressive plan to correct leaks and eliminate clandestine intakes, they have been able to recover more than 900 liters per second that now reach more communities by pipeline.
The immediate goal is to send water to the Zamora and Tocópero municipalities, as well as shorten pumping times, given the recovery of reservoir levels that reach 63% of their capacity.
In food, he highlighted that 35,740 metric tons were distributed in the 25 municipalities with programs such as “Defending your pocket” and CLAP bags.
Regarding the distribution of domestic gas, he assured that one million 300 thousand cylinders were recharged, 19 municipalities have the express service and the filling plants in Dabajuro, Churuguara and San Francisco were added to Coro and Punto Fijo.
In health, he highlighted that 94% of the population is vaccinated against covid-19, making it the fifth state with the highest epidemiological coverage.
“We also made structural changes in the Alfredo Van Grieken hospital in Coro, Rafael Calle Sierra in Punto Fijo, and Lino Arévalo in Tucacas, as well as converting two outpatient clinics into popular and specialized clinics. We will continue the transformation, now comes Boca del Mangle in Chichiriviche », he detailed.
Regarding security, he stressed that Falcón continues to be one of the safest in the country, free of crime and drug trafficking with the perception of peace and tranquility.
Regarding tourism, he pointed out that mobilization has increased, so he is preparing for this Easter season. He explained that given this opportunity, Falcón will take the opportunity to consolidate the tourist activity, the provision of services and the promotion of the state.
In the sports field, he acknowledged that with the massification of sports, athletic talent is projected, which in this year’s national games was ranked sixth on the national list, while in education it showed the recovery work of 214 educational centers and the reactivation of 16 student routes.
The president of the Legislative Council, Ulises Daal, was the one who began the act by verifying the regulatory quorum and adhering to the provisions of article 161 of the Constitution, article 15 of the Legislative Councils Law and article 142 of the Federal Constitution, allowing the presentation of the report accompanied by civil and military authorities and popular power.
