Vice President Delcy Rodríguez asserted this Saturday the 20th that the state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) reached its production goal of 1,200,000 barrels proposed for the end of this year, amid tensions with the United States and the seizure of sanctioned oil tankers transporting Venezuelan crude oil.

“PDVSA announces that within the framework of the Productive Independence Plan, its workers have reached the goal of 1,200,000 barrels planned for this year, and is preparing to achieve the increase in production and goals for 2026,” wrote the also Minister of Hydrocarbons in a brief message on social networks.

Rodríguez said that oil workers face and defeat “harassment, hostilities and imperial illegality,” which also “attacks the human rights of Venezuelans.”

Venezuelan oil exports reached 921,000 barrels per day (bpd) during November, the third highest monthly average so far this year, amid pressure from the United States.
