The Interoceanic Corridor reported that the collision was caused because the trailer crossed the path of the train on the Coatzacoalcos-Pakal Ná route.
“Fortunately, none of the 148 passengers traveling on the train or the crew reported any type of injuries, and there were no human losses,” he reported in a statement.
After the collision, a new train was sent to the area, in addition to buses, to transport the 148 passengers traveling on the railway to their final destinations.
“We reaffirm our commitment to the safety and responsible operation of our railways as a strategic project for the development of the communities of the southeast and the rest of the country,” added the Interoceanic Train.
