Deputy Cariola is the first woman to chair the Constitution Commission of the Lower House

During this Tuesday in the National Congress the elections were held to see who will preside over the commissions of the Lower House. In this context, the deputy of the Communist Party (PC), Karol Cariolawas elected to head the Constitution, Legislation, Justice and Regulation Commission of the Chamber, becoming the first woman to lead this body.

With eight votes in favor and five against, the PC parliamentarian surpassed the deputy of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI), Gustavo Benavente.

Naranjo stays with the Finance Commission
