The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced the dates of the Brazilian team’s friendlies against France and Croatia. The matches are among Brazil’s last tests before the start of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held between June 11 and July 19 in Mexico, Canada and the United States.
Brazil’s first match will be on March 26th, when they will face France, currently 3rd in the FIFA national team rankings, at Gillette Stadium, in Boston (United States). The stadium will host seven World Cup matches. On March 31st, it will be the Brazilian team’s turn to face Croatia, at the Camping World Stadium, in Orlando. The Croatians occupy 10th place in the FIFA rankings.
“There will be two very high level games, against two teams from the top shelf of world football. Since when we secured classification, we had decided to face well-ranked teams, qualified for the World Cup and that represented different schools. We had opponents from Asia, from African schools and we were looking for European teams that could, in fact, impose difficulties and challenge the Brazilian team like the others did”, declared the general coordinator of CBF men’s teams, Rodrigo Caetano.
