The event occurred on Thursday December 18 when technical staff of a contracting company, together with the Commercial and Energy Loss Reduction Department of Edenorte Dominican and an officer from the Physical Security Directorate, showed up at a home located on the main street of the La Bomba neighborhood.
According to the preliminary report, at the time of disconnecting the electricity supply due to lack of contract, the owner of the home, Luciano Genaoand his son, Ronny Ismael Luciano Encarnación, reacted violently, physically and verbally attacking the technicians Luis Alfredo Taveras Fernández and Juan Daniel Moreta, employees of Ingmelec Dominicanan authorized company that provides services to Edenorte.
Through a press release, Edenorte Dominican strongly condemned any act of violence that puts the life and physical integrity of its staff and contractor companies at risk, while reiterating that the work carried out was covered by the current regulations of the electrical sector.
Legal actions will be initiated
The distributor reported that Ingmelec Dominicana began the legal actions corresponding to the judicial authorities of the province of Dajabónso that those responsible are held accountable for the acts committed.
