Santo Domingo. – From 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20 to 7:00 a.m. on Sunday the 21st, center lanes and premises at kilometer 9 of the Duarte Highway will be closed to lift structural elements of the new pedestrian bridge.
This was reported by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, who indicated that the work seeks to improve road safety and the mobility of pedestrians and drivers in one of the busiest points of Greater Santo Domingo.
The institution indicated that during the closure, traffic will be diverted along alternative signposted routes, with the support of agents from the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Security (DIGESETT).
So he urged drivers to take the branch of the Duarte Highway towards Los Próceres and return at the entrance to Los Ríos, in an east-west direction.
and dand west to easttake the branch to the south on Luperón Avenue, return along Olof Palme Street and rejoin John F. Kennedy Avenue.
Public Works suggested drivers plan their routes and follow the signs to avoid congestion and guarantee road safety.
