Five men were killed during “kinetic strikes” carried out by the United States against two vessels suspected of transporting drugs in the Eastern Pacific.
The action took place this Thursday, December 18, according to the information published in the Southern Command’s X account.
«A total of five male narcoterrorists died during these actions: three on the first ship and two on the second. No members of the US military were injured,” the publication noted.
The Southern Command stated that the “narco-boats” were operated by Designated Terrorist Organizations in international waters, without specifying information about the site where the attack occurred.
«“The intelligence confirmed that the vessels were transiting known drug trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and were participating in drug trafficking operations,” he said.

This week, the United States reported the attack on four other vessels in the Eastern Pacific where 12 people died.
On Monday the 15th, the Southern Command destroyed three boats in the Pacific with a death toll of eight men and on Wednesday the 17th it destroyed a boat where four men were killed.
The United States has maintained a military deployment in the Caribbean and the Pacific since mid-August to fight drug trafficking cartels. Nearly 100 people have died in these actions in which approximately 25 boats that were supposedly transporting drugs have been destroyed.
