This Friday (19), the Federal Police launched Operation Galho Fraco, to deepen investigations into the embezzlement of public resources arising from parliamentary quotas.
Federal police officers carry out seven search and seizure warrants, issued by the Federal Supreme Court (STF), in the Federal District and in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
One of the targets is deputy Carlos Jordy (PL-RJ) who spoke about the operation on Instagram.
“Today, on my daughter’s birthday, the PF searched and seized my house again as ordered by Flávio Dino [ministro do STF]. Relentless persecution!” he wrote.
According to Jordy, the allegation is that he diverted parliamentary quota resources to a shell company that rented cars. This is the same company that he said has been renting cars since his first term.
“The same company as deputy Sóstenes [Cavalcante, PL-RJ]which I also believe has been the target of search and seizure, has been renting since the beginning of his first term”, stated Jordy on the social network.
The report sought advice from deputy Sóstenes, but has not yet received feedback on his position.
According to the investigations, political agents, commissioned employees and private individuals would have acted in a coordinated manner to divert and subsequently hide public funds.
According to the PF, the action is the result of an operation launched in December 2024 and investigates the crimes of embezzlement, money laundering and criminal organization.
