“I wouldn’t mind telling it (to Congress), but it’s not a big deal. I don’t have to tell them, it’s already been proven”Trump said at an event at White Houseafter redouble its pressure on the government of Nicolás Maduro and warn that The US will soon begin carrying out attacks on “ground targets” in Venezuela.
On Tuesday, the American president announced that Washington would block all sanctioned oil tankers entering or leaving Venezuela with crude oil on board and accused Venezuelan executive of stealing US oil fields and assetsin apparent reference to the expropriations during the government of Hugo Chávez.
Since the summer, Trump has ordered a massive military deployment to the Caribbean with the aim of stop drug traffickingof which he also accuses Caracas, and since September it has bombed more than two dozen alleged drug boatscausing the death of around a hundred people.
