Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Government, in the figure of the Minister of Finance, Magin Diaz presented a positive balance of the behavior of the Dominican economy at the end of 2025 and favorable projections for the period 2026-2028, during the Council of Ministers headed by President Luis Abinader held this Wednesday at the National Palace.
In his presentation, Diaz highlighted the macroeconomic stability sustained economic growth and control of main indicatorsfactors that, as he explained, constitute the basis for strengthening public investment, expanding social policy and guaranteeing tax planning responsible in the coming years.
The economic report served as a key input for the Government’s strategic decision-making, by outlining the scenario on which budget priorities will be designed. and sectoral for the year 2026, in line with the goals of the Government Plan 2024–2028 .
The meeting, which corresponded to fifty-fourth Council of Ministers was chaired by the president together with Vice President Raquel Peña and allowed for an assessment of the fulfillment of the prioritized goals, as well as coordinate actions that will mark the government agenda of next year.
The president Abinader reiterated that the economic stability It is an essential pillar to sustain growth, generate jobs and improve quality of life of the population, while reaffirming its commitment to management focused on results and fiscal discipline.
