Factors that raised inflation in some cities more than in others

According to the balance made by the National Registry of Carga of the Ministry of Transport, During February 2022, 10,411,926 tons were mobilized, an increase of 6.4% when compared to those mobilized in the same period of 2021, when 9,778,294 were mobilized.

Likewise, in February 2022, 370,725,057 gallons were mobilized in the country, 32.3% more than in the previous year and a total of 786,939 trips were made, 6.6% more than those made in 2021.

Among the main origins and destinations in terms of the number of trips, these are found in the logistics and production centers related to capital cities, standing out, for example, municipalities such as Buenaventura, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Bogotá, Santa Marta, Yumbo, Medellín, and Cali.

In the case of the departments, it is evident that the main destination origins are departmental (local) trips, which shows that movements are made for medium and short distances, with the departments of the Valle del Cauca, Antioquia and Cundinamarca.

In addition, during this period the trips were made mainly by two-axle trucks, three-axle tractor-trailers and vans, showing that most trips are required for short and medium distances.
