This Wednesday’s clash will be best remembered for the lack of inspiration and a lot of perspiration from the teams, who competed hard during the 90 minutes of the ball rolling. As a result, there were few clear opportunities.
Still in the initial stage, at 18 minutes, Vasco managed to put the ball in the back of goalkeeper Cássio’s goal with striker Rayan, but the move was canceled due to the Vasco player’s offside position.
Seven minutes later, Corinthians scored, with Memphis Depay taking advantage of a ball left in the middle of the area. However, the bid was canceled after the Dutchman’s irregular position was confirmed.
In the second half the situation did not change much and the goalless equality lasted until the final whistle.
