Botafogo announced early this Wednesday evening (17) that Italian Davide Ancelotti left command of its main football team. According to a note from Alvinegro, “the decision was taken after meetings this Wednesday”.

Along with the son of the Brazilian national team coach, Carlo Ancelotti, physical trainer Luca Guerra and assistants Luis Tevenet and Andrew Mangan leave Botafogo. “The club is grateful for Ancelotti’s professionalism and commitment during the period in which he led the team and was part of the black and white family. Botafogo wishes him success in future challenges. The new technical committee will be announced soon”, says the statement from General Severiano’s team.
Goodbye from Thiago Silva
Another departure confirmed this Wednesday, but at Fluminense, was that of defender Thiago Silva. According to a statement from Tricolor das Laranjeiras, the player formalized “his contractual termination with the club”.
