Under the constitutional principle of comprehensive defense of the homeland and in compliance with the orders issued by the President of the Republic and commander in chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro Moros, the FANB maintains a permanent deployment in every corner of the Venezuelan geography, which reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the preservation of peace, tranquility and security of the people.
This action responds to the execution of Operation Bolivarian Shield, designed to secure, occupy and control the national territory against any threat, which consolidates the internal stability of the Republic.
In this context, the Commander of the 31 Mechanized Infantry Brigade “GB Lucas Carvajal”, G/B Jhoan Márquez Flores, stated that “the people deserve peace and peace is defended with facts and relevant security measures, complying with the orders issued in the Bolivarian Shield operation, and by the Commander in Chief, we have carried out a strategic patrol in the Capital Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI).”
The senior officer emphasized that the mission of the FANB is irrevocable: “to occupy, secure and control the national territory to consolidate peace and guarantee the internal order of the nation.”
Firmly, G/B Márquez Flores underlined the character of the military institution as a pillar of sovereignty. “We are the insurmountable wall, we are the fortress in the battle, we are the guarantee that peace is not just a promise, but is a reality that is built with the firmness and determination of the will of a State.”
Finally, the Commander of the 31st Brigade reaffirmed the commitment to the defense of the sovereignty and peace of the Republic: “For the country, for peace, we will win.”
