The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader) reported that as part of the Fertilizers for Wellbeing 2025 program, it directly delivered one million 44 thousand tons of the product in the 32 states of the country, which it considered a historic figure.
He noted that the distribution benefited 2.15 million small and medium-scale producers, and served a total of 3.54 million hectares of strategic crops.
He indicated that in 2025 it granted 442,500 tons of DAP and 601,500 tons of urea. “This volume represents an increase of 5.9 percent compared to the previous year, as a result of the incorporation of open windows for new beneficiaries in all states of the Republic.”
She explained that the program is based on principles of equality and social justice, with progress in reducing historical gaps, as direct support to more than 833,700 women producers. The five states with the highest number of deliveries are Guerrero (167,700), Chiapas (143,500), Oaxaca (85,700), Mexico (69,000) and Veracruz (59,400).
Likewise, indigenous communities were supported with 860,900 beneficiaries (493,200 men and 367,700 women).
He added that the aid granted was strategically focused on the production of basic grains and key crops for national food security.
Among the main impacts are corn, with 752 thousand tons for a coverage of 2.51 million hectares; beans, 37,600 for 181,400 hectares; milpa, 78,400 for 261,300 hectares; coffee, 52,700 for 175,700 hectares, and sugar cane, 43,600 for 145,500.
“The direct and timely delivery of these inputs has been essential to boost the production of basic grains and consolidate the route towards food self-sufficiency in Mexico. The achievements achieved in 2025 reaffirm the positive impact of the program, which translates into the improvement of the productive conditions of thousands of families living in the countryside.”
