Minister Ñáñez: Theft of the oil tanker confirms the decline of international laws

The Sector Vice President of Communication and Culture, Freddy Ñáñez, stated that the theft of the Venezuelan oil tanker was an act of piracy that must be analyzed from a global perspective. “What is happening is the collapse of a set of laws and pacts that nations made after the Second World War to seek balance and harmony. Today what is worrying is the silence and complicity of multilateral organizations that should guarantee that international laws are complied with.”

During the live broadcast of the program “En Línea Con”, hosted by the head of Government of Caracas, Nahum Fernández, the Sectoral Vice President of Communication and Culture, stated that Venezuela is today the country most besieged by the North American imperial Government and by the old and decadent Europe. “This situation responds to the fact that the Venezuelan nation supports a political, social and economic model that represents hope for many people who fight against neoliberalism, business tyrannies and supremacists that have historically denied and stolen social rights.”

He added that the world is going through a process of decline, while Venezuela proposes the permanent renewal of democracy and social rights. “We are besieged because they want our oil, our gold, minerals and our waters; that is, they want all the natural resources that God placed on this earth and that our liberators defended and inherited 200 years ago.”

Minister Ñáñez warned that powers that proclaim themselves defenders of international norms today openly violate them. “Europe steals Russia’s resources. The entire system of blocs and sanctions in the world is a looting mechanism. We have not made progress on ethical issues. These people, with their cowardly speeches, have their hands full of blood and fill their pockets with the resources they have stolen from Africa and Latin America.”

Likewise, he highlighted that Venezuela faces a global situation marked by the fall of a hegemony that tyrannized the world. “It is a brazen and desperate act to accuse a country like Venezuela of links to drug trafficking, when the records of the OAS and the UN demonstrate the opposite. We also see that 96% of Venezuelans are against the theft of our oil and the policy of the White House.”

In this sense, Ñáñez expressed that, in the face of these oligarchies, the revolutionary people remain firm. “The revolutions of the 21st century, initiated by Commander Hugo Chávez, remain as a reference for Latin America and ratify the decision of the Venezuelan people to defend their homeland.”
