The second day of national oil workers strike This Tuesday (16), new units joined, such as the Alberto Pasqualini Refinery (Refap), in Rio Grande do Sul. In Ceará, the category also joined the strike, with the Fábrica de Lubrificantes do Nordeste (Lubnor), Termoceará and the Macuripe terminal joining the movement.
The Single Federation of Oil Workers (FUP) reported that in Rio Grande do Norte, workers at the Vale do Açu Thermoelectric Plant joined the strike this Tuesday, as did doctors from the company’s Health, Environment and Safety (SMS) sector. There was also reinforcement in Bahia of workers at the Candeias Biodiesel Plant and several units in the Campos Basin, in the north of Rio de Janeiro, where 22 platforms have already been handed over to contingency teams.
The strike at FUP’s operational bases already affects 8 refineries, 24 platforms, 10 Transpetro units, 4 thermoelectric plants, 2 biodiesel plants, in addition to the onshore fields in Bahia, the Cabiúnas Gas Treatment Unit (UTGCAB) and the Paulínia Compression Station (TBG).
The movement continues for an indefinite period throughout Brazil, until Petrobras management presents a new counter-proposal for a Collective Labor Agreement that meets the three axes of demands from the oil industry:
- Fair distribution of the wealth generated,
- End of Petros’ equations and
- Recognition of the Agenda by Sovereign Brazil, with suspension of privatizations and layoffs in the Exploration and Production area.
