The international program Blue Flag reported this Tuesday that he once again granted fate The Roman the certification Blue Flag for the period 2025–2026, in recognition of a management of beaches that prioritizes high standards of water quality, environmental management, safety, education and inclusive access.
The program is coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) and managed in the Dominican Republic by the Institute of Environmental Law of the Dominican Republic (Idard).
A statement details that, as part of the process of certificationthe official act of flag raising in the beach segment of the Viva Dominicus hotel Beach & Palace by Wyndham, where “the continuity of an articulated work that transcends tourism and translates into concrete benefits for the environment and the community” was highlighted.
“This certification is the result of a collective effort and sustained, in which the private sector, the authorities and the communities work under the same vision of order, responsibility and care of the territory,” said Andrés Fernández, president of the Hotel Association The Roman Bayahibe.
“Blue Flag not only increases the quality of the destination, but also generates positive impacts for those who live and work in The Roman“, said Fernandez.
