Fanb destroyed illegal mining equipment hidden in the Amazon jungle

The strategic operational commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported that within the framework of Operation “Neblina 2025”, military officials in REDI No. 6 Guayana, Amazonas state detected and destroyed mining materials and equipment that were hidden in the jungle of this town.

Through his social networks, Hernández detailed that 2 13 HP motor pumps, a mining pond, 2 4″ Caracoles, 50 meters of 4″ high pressure hose, 4 4″ PVC plastic tubes, 2 carpets used as a sieve and 20 meters of black plastic were destroyed.

The official highlighted that all the material and equipment mentioned was incinerated at the scene, for serving as logistical support for the depredation and destruction of the environment in the prohibited illegal mining activities.

He recalled that “the Venezuelan State fights daily for the preservation of the environment, since mining exploitation is a prohibited use according to the provisions of the Environmental Criminal Law and those who do it violate the legal system.” The procedure was notified to the Public Ministry.
