Former president Jair Bolsonaro will undergo a medical examination next Wednesday (17). The date was scheduled by the Federal Police (PF) after determination by Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
The investigation will be carried out by PF experts at the headquarters of the National Institute of Criminalistics, in Brasília.
The procedure was determined by the minister, who will decide whether to authorize Bolsonaro to leave prison to perform recommended surgery by private doctors.
In the same decision, Moraes determined that the ultrasound exam carried out this Sunday (14) by Bolsonaro be sent to experts. The examination confirmed the diagnosis of inguinal hernia. The procedure was carried out with portable equipment authorized by Moraes.
Bolsonaro is imprisoned in a room at the Federal Police (PF) Superintendence, in Brasília, where he is serving a sentence of 27 years and three months in prison for his conviction in the criminal case for the coup plot.
