The agents of the High Risk Transfer Unit (UTAR) transferred the defendants in the Cobra case, an alleged corruption network led by the former director of the National Health Insurance (SENASA), from the jail of the Ciudad Nueva Courthouse to the courtroom, pending the decision on the coercive measure.
The defendants in the Cobra case were taken to the room of the Second Collegiate Court of the National District, which serves as the Permanent Attention Office, where Judge Rigoberto Sena will issue the decision on the coercive measure requested by the Public Ministry.

In addition to the accused, the lawyers who make up the State Asset Recovery team are in court. The decision is set for 6:00 pm this Sunday.
The Public Ministry requested the imposition of 18 months of preventive detention as a measure of coercion against Santiago Marcelo Hazim Albainy, former director of SENASA; Gustavo Enrique Messina Cruz, former financial manager; Germán Rafael Robles Quiñones, former legal manager; Francisco Iván Minaya Pérez, former Health Manager, and Rafael Luis Martínez Hazim, Hazim’s nephew and founder of the company MyCare.
Likewise, the suppliers Ramón Alan Speakler Mateo and Ada Ledesma Ubiera appear as defendants, they are also asked to be imprisoned for 18 months, all of them are linked to the Cobra case.
Meanwhile, the prosecuting body requested to vary the preventive detention by other measures, such as the payment of a financial guarantee of one million pesos, house arrest, prevention of departure and periodic presentation, in favor of Eduardo Read Estrella and Heidi Mariela Pineda and Cinty Acosta Asención because both collaborate with the Public Ministry.
Meanwhile, a team of police officers cordoned off the surroundings of the Ciudad Nueva Courthouse, with the aim of avoiding unfortunate situations when the judge issues his decision on the coercive measure against Santiago Hazim and shares, involved in the Cobra case.
The judge has not yet taken the stand to issue the ruling, even though it was scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
