The Ministry of Education published the schedule for the 2025-2026 school year, which includes the restart of classes, and breaks for Teacher’s Day, Carnival and Easter. It also establishes two national anniversaries as non-working days in the second semester

The Ministry of Education published the official calendar corresponding to the 2025-2026 school year in Venezuela, which establishes that the return to classes will be on Monday, January 12, 2026, with the beginning of the second pedagogical moment.

According to the schedule released by the educational office, that same week there will be a short break, since on Thursday, January 15, no academic activities will be carried out on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.

The school calendar also includes days off for national and religious festivities. In February, the Carnival break is scheduled for Monday the 16th and Tuesday the 17th. While in April, during Holy Week, there will be no classes on Thursday the 2nd and Friday the 3rd.

For the second semester of the school year, the Min-Education included two non-working dates due to national anniversaries. On Wednesday, June 24, the Battle of Carabobo, which occurred in 1821, will be commemorated, and Friday, July 24, will be a holiday for the Birth of Simón Bolívar, in 1783.

According to official information, these dates correspond to the last holidays before the closure of the 2025-2026 school year and are part of the academic planning defined by the Ministry of Education for the educational system.
