The change of command ceremony held last Friday in the National Congress drew attention to the delay in its start. From the Government they attribute the delay to the King of Spain, Philip VI, who was the last international authority to arrive. Today the Spanish Royal House responded to the statements made yesterday by the President, Gabriel Boricon Channel 13.

It should be noted that the president attended an interview with “Don Francisco”, where he stated that “it seemed quite unacceptable to me that the ceremony was delayed because the King of Spain had been late. But hey, these are things that happen.” In addition, he pointed out that “one has to respect the established protocols.”

From Spain they responded to the words of the head of state, assuring that the invited delegation “followed the instructions of the Chilean protocol and security at all times, which are the ones who set the pace of arrival of the caravans.”

“In fact, the caravan with the Spanish delegation was waiting in line, behind others, until protocol and security gave the instruction that it could already be accessed,” they added.

It should be noted that Felipe VI was accompanied by the second vice president, Yolanda Diazthe Minister of Equality, Irene Monteroand the President of the Senate, Andrew Gil.
