The sectoral vice president of Defense, GJ Vladimir Padrino López, stated that North American imperialism has spread lies throughout its history with the purpose of promoting wars in various latitudes, and now it intends to do so in South America.
The senior officer’s statements occurred within the framework of the 47th anniversary of the Comprehensive Aerospace Defense Command.
He affirmed that the US government intends to close the Caribbean to “its interests”, but that Venezuelans continue to be “a people who love sovereignty, independence and peace.”
Padrino warned the people of the United States that once again they want to use their young people in a war and then return them in sacks.
He said that Venezuela is facing a new situation of aggression with the “act of piracy, a crude and cowardly act,” and that a response must be made regarding the fate of the crew of the vessel, about whom there is no news of their status, although it is a civil and private vessel.
Padrino specified that “Venezuelans are not savages,” while pointing out that “we have rational capacity, we think, we feel.”
They intend to return American taxpayers in black bags
He said that even though “we love the heroic people of the United States,” he must point out that the current administration is supremacist and has done nothing but lie.
«When they call us liars, there has to be a reaction, the people of the United States must understand that their government is an instrument for war. It is now wanted and intended here, in this Western Hemisphere, to wage war in Latin America and the Caribbean. It is intended, dear brothers, of the people of the United States, to once again return in black sacks and bags and in ballot boxes, contributing citizens, young people of North American society, returned to their homes,” he warned.
However, he stressed that Venezuelans continue to cry out for peace. «Not only of the people of Venezuela, we are clear that the concept of Homeland goes beyond the Venezuelan borders, which is the concept of the Great Homeland of the Liberator. It is absurd, I tell the people of the United States to listen carefully to the cry of the people of Venezuela: We, the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, are a reflection that what Venezuelan society is (:..) must listen to the cry for peace, for synderesis, for the need to resolve conflicts through dialogue.
He recalled that President Nicolás Maduro insists in each of his interventions on speaking out for peace.
«Unfortunately, supremacism has taken over this current administration of the United States, and they intend to kneel under a de facto siege scheme that they have on Venezuela, starting with non-legal sanctions, they are illegal instruments. Sanctions that impact the economy, production, and the health of the people of Venezuela and yet we are more united than ever, we know where the aggression comes from,” he pointed out.
He explained that the aggression comes from “the power centers of North American imperialism and all that plethora of hitmen and internal lackeys who lend themselves to the game, to ask for invasions of Venezuela, to ask for aggression against Venezuela.”
Oil tanker case: violation of free trade and navigation
When referring to the case of the oil tanker intercepted by US forces, he said that it was a civilian merchant ship and that it was assaulted south of Granada.
«There leaving the Atlantic, a ship that, exercising free trade and free navigation, carried Venezuelan oil for other international markets. This constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. A violation of the right to free navigation, to free trade,” he noted.
During his speech, he asked why legal provisions are not being respected in the world. “Could it be that the same liberal system that was built after World War II is in clear agony, anachronistic and the international system is presented as useless. Well, these are reflections,” he stated.
He maintains that a different world order is being generated, but that does not mean that legal provisions should be ignored.
He stressed that the US is making a “strategic withdrawal” to concentrate on Latin America. “This, to the detriment of the sovereignty of the States, of respect for the nations and their democracies, is intended to close the Caribbean to the interests of the United States, to politically dominate the States, to steal and appropriate the natural resources of the hemisphere and of course the Fanb is taking this into account, because we are going to defend the concept of sovereignty and we are not going to give up,” he warned.
«That act of piracy, crude, rude, thieves, cowardly, of imposing force to appropriate things, resources that do not belong to them. We ask ourselves from Venezuela; What will become of the lives of the crew? They are private companies, but we care about the lives of the crew. Where are they? “Who has them kidnapped?” he said.
