America will see an eclipse known as the “blood moon”

Astronomy fans on the American continent will witness on November 19 one of the most impressive astronomical phenomena, a lunar eclipse, better known as the “blood moon.”

This event will occur while the moon is in its full phase. The shadow of planet Earth will cover it 97 percent and it will be reflected in a reddish color, due to scattered light from the atmosphere, which is why this phenomenon is also known as the “blood moon”, while another small part it will continue to reflect sunlight.

This will take place during the early hours of November 19 and will last 3 hours and 28 minutes. The best time to appreciate the reddish, blood-like color of most of the satellite will be right in the middle of that time.

The event will be seen in North and South America, as well as Australia and parts of Europe and Asia, but not everyone will see it equally.

North America, Central America, the Caribbean and the western part of South America will be the privileged ones when observing the maximum point of the eclipse. On the other hand, the eastern part of Brazil, you will only be able to see a small shadow since it will dawn before it reaches its splendor.
