Three individuals on motorcycles robbed Jr. Los Geranios s/n, AA.VV. Nueva Primavera, Sangani, the sum of S/50,830, money that husband and wife Susana Ataucusi Minaya (58) and Máximo Arotoma Juño (51) withdrew from a bank in the area.
According to the police, this money belonged to the Evangelical Pentecostal Church and was intended for gifts to 225 most needy children.
The husband and wife allegedly withdrew the money from the agency and headed to Sangani, being followed by the criminals who, after firing a shot in the air and struggling with the victims, managed to take the money.
The spouses quickly moved to the police station, where PNP Major Ronald Núñez, along with twelve officers and two vans, went after the criminals.
Later, and based on intelligence information, the police learned that the gang would meet that night at the Mística nightclub. That’s right, every movement of the suspects was recorded, even their contacts and friends were also included in the investigation.
At around 6 in the morning they gave the order to intervene and were captured: Luiggi Flores Bejarano (22) “Bulldog”, Jhon Cedillo Soto (29) “Lagarto”, both belonging to the “Los Gatilleros 50K” gang.
Both detainees preferred to remain silent. The police were also unable to recover the money. Both would be charged with aggravated gang robbery.
