Coup to drug trafficking: they seize more than 400 kilos of cocaine hidden in tourist vehicles in Cusco (VIDEO)

A total of 410 kilograms of high-purity cocaine hydrochloride were seized in Cusco, in the largest anti-drug operation in recent times, carried out by specialized agents from Cusco, Vraem and Lima.

Hidden in different compartments of tourist vehicles and inside a house in the district of San Jerónimo, agents of the Anti-Drug Department of the Cusco Airport, Intelligence of the Anti-Drug Directorate and members of the Valley of the Apurímac, Ene and Mantaro RiversThey discovered the large shipment, which was ready to be transferred to the country of Bolivia and later to Europe.

At a press conference, the Police together with the Provincial Anti-Drug Prosecutor’s Office of Cusco, reported on the discovery of the drug which was recorded after intelligence work, by which it was learned that in a house in the Andén de San Jerónimo urbanization, a large quantity of drugs had been stockpiled, which would later be transferred to another point outside the country.

Thus, the Police organized a surprise raid, finding a total of 393 brick-type packages, which after weighing, released a total of 410,721 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, achieving the arrest of Daniel Huayana (38) and Rene Curo (26), accused of the alleged crime of illicit drug trafficking.

It is worth mentioning that the largest amount of drugs was found on the second level of the building, while the rest was distributed inside the X9T-950 undercarriage minibuswhich bore the inscriptions ‘Diana Tours EIRL’, the Police also searched and seized five other vehicles, including vans and sedans.

In light of the investigations, it was found that all drug packages have the symbol of a dolphin engraved on themwhich would mark the origin and destination of the drug seized, processed and packaged in the Vraem, for which the authorities are now seeking to find the producers and find the entire distribution chain of the drug.
