“More Interior Fair” will be held on Sunday the 14th on Brazil Avenue
In the Session Room of the Central Building of the Departmental Commune, headed by the Mayor himself, the launching ceremony of a new edition of the “More Interior Fair”.
More than 100 entrepreneurs, in addition to other activities, will take place from the afternoon of next Sunday, December 14, on Avenida Brasil.
“It is an important moment for me personally today to be accompanying those who lead the project that at the time was called El Mercadito and is now called Más Interior, together with Director Lucy Larrosa and the main members of this beautiful proposal because everything that generates employment, promotion of entrepreneurs and points of sale is transcendent” express Christian Morel.
“I invite everyone for Sunday, even though the activity they are promoting is not limited only to that day, but continues afterwards throughout practically the entire city.” highlighted the Mayor of Cerro Largo.
The representatives of the organization thanked Morel for his constant support of the initiative. “We seek to continue building the identity of Cerro Largo” synthesized María Eugenia Lastreto.
“This is a private event that has been in our department for 9 years” he remembered. “We can say it with pride and ownership, even with covid-19 we have maintained this proposal that precisely seeks to support the entrepreneurs of the department and the region. We have more than 100 entrepreneurs not only local but also from the departments of Treinta y Tres, Tacuarembó and even Montevideo” he assured.
IN THE CULTURAL AGENDA OF THE REGION
“People are waiting for this event this year. It is already installed not only in the local cultural agenda but also in the region” held.
5 members participate in the organization of this activity: Sofía Andrade, Eliana Cabrera, Natalia Botaro, Victoria Marquisa and María Eugenia Lastreto.
“This project seeks to generate movement, contribute to local identity, develop economic movement, but above all it seeks to generate quality culture” he stated.
“To date we have confirmed around 120 entrepreneurs which makes us very proud and we also have the satisfaction of being able to continue saying that this is an event open to the public and that it is completely free” Lastreto highlighted.
Más Interior 2025 will feature the artistic presentation of Nacho Obes, one of the most renowned national musicians, well known for his participation in the television program Santo y Seña.
AWARDS FOR THE BEST DECORATIONS
“This year, as a novelty, we are launching a contest, a citizen proposal called More Christmas to the More Interior” revealed Victoria Marquisa.
“It is a home lighting contest. The entire population is invited to illuminate the facades of their homes to try to generate the Christmas spirit so that these traditions are lost.” said.

The deadline to participate in this contest will inevitably end this Thursday, December 11. On the 12th the oath is taken, on Saturday the 13th the winners are announced and on the day of the Fair, on Sunday the 14th from the 17th hour, the prizes will be awarded.
“We want to transform Cerro Largo, specifically Melo, into a different Christmas proposal so that we can all enjoy that celebration” Marquisa pointed out.
