Santo Domingo.- The governments of Dominican Republic and Swiss signed an agreement that will allow companions of officials in diplomatic, consular and permanent missions carry out paid activities in the receiving country, with the aim of improving their quality of life and labor integration.
The agreement was signed by the chancellor Roberto Alvarez and the ambassador of the Swiss Confederation, Rita Hämmerli-Weschke.
After the signing, the vice minister of Bilateral Foreign Policy, Francisco Caraballohighlighted that the agreement “modernizes the bilateral framework” and reaffirms the commitment to a more humane and inclusive diplomacy.

For her part, Ambassador Hämmerli-Weschke pointed out that this instrument “will facilitate the well-being and integration of transferred families” and represents a reflection of the excellent relationships between both countries.
The vice ministers participated in the event Ruben Silié, Hugo Fco. Rivera and Opinion Diaz; the Dominican ambassador in Switzerland, Pablo Valentin Rosario; in addition to directors and officials of the Chancellery.
