Each senator received 260 books, that is, 17,420 in total. Altogether, more than 7 million pesos were spent, since each copy costs 448 pesos in bookstores.
It was after photos and videos of the books were released that the senators agreed that each one would pay for the 260 books that arrived at their offices, so they would deduct them from their diet. That means the Senate paid for these books.
Each Morena senator must pay 116,480 pesos for the 260 books they received.
Some senators have publicly commented that they will give these books to the residents of the states they represent.
“We are going to give them away in the territory, in Quintana Roo,” said Senator Eugenio Segura when questioned about it.
A week ago, López Obrador presented his book “Greatness”, where he addresses topics such as creation, the universe, racism and civilizations, but politics is practically absent.

This book of more than 600 pages caused a sensation among readers, as the copies were sold out on Amazon Mexico and at the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL), which ended on December 7.
