Thieves entered the Rosalpi de Bello health center and they stole a defibrillator valued at $30 million pesos. The equipment, essential for saving lives in cardiac emergencies, was stolen from the hospitalization area in broad daylight.
According to the hospital directive, the theft suggests prior knowledge of the environment, since the suspects directly accessed the hospitalization area and took the equipment from the arrest cart; This mobile device contains all the elements necessary for immediate care in cases of cardiopulmonary arrest (CPA), making the defibrillator an essential component for advanced CPR.

Security cameras showed how two subjects, who had examined the facilities days before, hid the expensive equipment in a backpack to take it out of the medical center without arousing suspicion.
The Metropolitan Police of the Aburrá Valley is analyzing the security videos to identify and capture those responsible for the theft. Authorities are investigating whether this case could be related to a criminal structure dedicated to the theft of biomedical equipment, citing a similar incident that occurred at the La Estrella hospital.

The authorities of the south of the Aburrá Valley are investigating the discovery of a body in the Pan de Azúcar village of the municipality of Sabaneta.
