The case of the popular soccer player Andrés Ramiro ‘Manga’ Escobar, does not stop having new elements in what he himself has called ‘a nightmare in Iceland’.
What happened to the athlete born in Puerto Tejada, Cauca and who began his career at Deportivo Cali is full of elements that, according to his version, would be far from reality.
With “consent of both”
As will be remembered, ‘Manga’ was sentenced to more than 30 months in prison for accusations related to a case of sexual abuse of a woman in the country where he plays.
However, according to what he told the Primer Toque program, everything that has been said about his trial and conviction has not been that way.
He assures that there was no sexual abuse and that, furthermore, the judge who made the decision to convict him omitted the evidence he presented.
He said he met the woman in the center of Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. They then chatted for several minutes.

‘Manga’ said that he was able to learn that this would not be the only similar case in which the woman would have been involved. He specified that she had already denounced another man, but the case came to nothing.
He recalled that on the day of the events the woman got up and spoke to a friend of hers, “he tells her what happened and assures her that she does not remember much and he was the one who recommended that she report me. The police say that she was not fit for consent and that this is rape ».
To her apartment “they were experts, they did tests, there is no struggle, nor is she a minor,” he stressed.
For Escobar, the behavior that the victim had, according to him, is very strange, “I cannot believe that a woman accuses me and that the Government does not listen to me, because a woman who has just been abused is not going to send me emojis of kisses or leave return for the jacket to the rapist,” he told WinSports.
