Seventeen people were rescued alive from the collapse of a mansion on Rua Tavares Bastos, in Catete, in the south of Rio de Janeiro, in the early hours of this Monday (8). 
There is no longer any record of people missing under the rubble.
Eleven people, with minor injuries, were released at the scene. Six were taken to hospital units.
Victims under structures
Around 50 soldiers from the Fire Department were involved in the incident, including members of the Special Operations Group (Goesp) and the Dog Operations Group (Gbresc), with the support of drones with thermal cameras that helped identify the location of the victims under the structures.
Rio’s Civil Defense is also in the area of the collapse to assess the structural damage to the building and the condition of neighboring buildings.
