Police in Bolívar seize illegal gunpowder and capture a woman with unfulfilled house arrest in year-end operations.
Within the framework of the campaign “A Christmas with Purpose”the National Police in Bolívar has intensified controls on the department’s roads to prevent the illegal handling of gunpowder during the holiday season.
In an operation carried out on road 9005, kilometer 96, Turbaco Toll sector, the Transit and Transportation Section seized 24 dozen flyers valued at 250,000 pesos. The driver of the vehicle did not present documentation proving the legality of the gunpowder.

Colonel Alejandro Reyes Ramírez, commander of the Bolívar Police Department, emphasized that these actions seek to protect the life and integrity of citizens, since the improper use of gunpowder represents high risks at this time of year.
The confiscated merchandise was delivered to the competent authority to carry out the corresponding legal processes.

The National Police of Colombia, through surveillance patrols, managed in the last few hours to capture a 23-year-old woman in the Centro neighborhood of El Carmen de Bolívar, accused of the crime of prisoner escape.
According to the police report, the citizen adopted a suspicious attitude when she noticed the presence of the uniformed officers. When asked for identification, he stated that he did not carry his citizenship card and also acknowledged that he had an INPEC electronic bracelet, as he had a house arrest measure for the crime of conspiracy to commit a crime.

Upon verifying the situation, the police confirmed that the woman had the electronic bracelet on her left ankle, evidencing non-compliance with the measure imposed by the judicial authority. At the scene, he was informed of his rights as a person captured for the crime of prisoner escape.
